Bringing warmth, spice and soul-soothing comfort to crisp autumnal days

This autumn, Marugame Udon, Japan’s favourite udon and tempura restaurant group, is launching a brand new dish, Tom Yum Udon, set to warm up the autumn season.

Arriving at all Marugame locations on Tuesday 23rd September, in line with the Autumn Equinox, Tom Yum Udon (£12.95) is set to mark the start of the season, bringing warmth, spice and soul-soothing comfort to crisp autumnal days.

In Japan, the Autumnal Equinox is a time to honour tradition, embrace balance and savour seasonal dishes made with harvest vegetables and comforting flavours. Available for a limited time only, the Tom Yum Udon features Marugame Udon’s signature fresh, handcrafted udon noodles served in a rich, tangy Tom Yum broth, layered with lemongrass, lime, chilli, galangal and coconut, before being topped with a delicate piece of flaky haddock.The result is a warming bowl that’s as comforting as it is fiery and the perfect warmer for chillier evenings and cosy autumn cravings.

To complete the autumnal feast, Marugame is also introducing a brand new savoury tempura, as well as a seasonal dessert tempura.

• Haddock Tempura (£3.65): Delicate haddock in a light, crispy tempura batter
• Pumpkin Gyoza (£1.00): A limited-edition seasonal desert gyoza filled with sweet succulent pumpkin, deep-fried until golden and crisp.

As the autumn equinox hits, the Tom Yum Udon and seasonal tempura invite guests to slurp into autumn with spice, warmth for the soul and Marugame’s signature comfort. Order while it’s hot and tangy!

Tom Yum Udon  will be available at all Marugame Udon locations from 23rd September for a limited time only. Marugame Udon is open daily from 11am until 11pm (10pm in certain locations).
