Alfresco Dining & Launching Ara’s Brunch Menu

We’re excited to announce the official launch of Ara’s breakfast and brunch menu, located just next to Aldgate East tube station—only a stone’s throw from Shoreditch. Come by and start your day with vibrant flavours and bold dishes in the heart of East London.
Ara’s sustainable interiors by Nina+Co (designer of Silo) featuring banquette and booths from Fallen & Felled rescued London elm wood, table tops and bar facade crafted using innovative, recycled plastics. Upholstery in pineapple leather from pineapple farm discards and light installations from galvanised steel offcuts.
Responsible practices will perpetually evolve as the team builds on knowledge and dedication to make even better choices in the future. The team reduces waste creatively by using kitchen by-products for innovative cocktails and works with sustainable drinks producers like Discarded Spirits Co. and 58 and Co which can be enjoyed at the Ara bar, where the facade it created entirely from recycled plastic.

At Ara the wine list features organic, biodynamic, and low-intervention wines that each tell their own story of sustainability. It has been created by general manager, Wade Mundford who previously won praise from critics at The Melusine which he co-owned with Theodore Kyriakou.
‘Unlike the Middle Eastern roots of Amber, at Ara my cooking style is culturally fluid. There’s no bias towards a particular cuisine just a blend of flavours spanning inner Asia, the Americas and beyond and driven by curiosity, not bound by rules or fear of failure.’ – Murat Kilic, Turkish born founder & self-taught chef, Ara Restaurant & Amber Restaurant.
