Marceline launch ‘Top of the Croques’ competition, for The Felix Project

This Monday 31st March, Marceline – the French brasserie in Canary Wharf – will launch its inaugural ‘Top of the Croques’ competition in aid of The Felix Project. For one night only, top chefs from across the capital will cook and serve their take on Marceline’s signature Croque Monsieur to a panel of industry experts, in a bid to be crowned the ‘Top of the Croques’ winner.
Kicking off at 6pm, the event will see Thomasina Miers (Wahaca), James Cochran (The Brave), Ruben Dawney (Ruben’s Reubens), Nirmal Save (Gunpowder), Ana Da Costa (Fat Tea Supper Club) and Freddie Janssen (Chef and Author) compete. Each competitor will showcase their creative interpretation of the French dish alongside Marceline’s Head Chef, Davide Toro, who will compete with his classic Marceline edition, featuring Parisian ham and Gruyère cheese.
A panel of expert judges will crown the night’s winner, and that ‘Croque’ will sit on Marceline’s menu for the month of April, with a percentage of proceeds donated to The Felix Project. Judges will include: chef and Great British Menu host Andi Oliver; Max Halley of Max’s Sandwich Shop; Financial Times HTSI’s food columnist, Ajesh Patalay; The Telegraph’s Senior Feature Writer, Ed Cumming; Deputy Editor of Foodism, Molly Codyre; and hosts of the Club Sandwich podcast, Henry Southan and Jordan Sangha.
Tickets for the event will be priced at £30pp and will include three drinks and a sample of each croque, with £5 per ticket donated to The Felix Project.
