Liu Xiaomian Celebrate Noodle Day This October at Carnaby

This October, Liu Xiaomian, the much-loved spicy noodle restaurant in Kingly Court, Carnaby, are celebrating Noodle Day (6 October) and Mid-Autumn Festival a month-long 2 for 1 promotion on four of their signature dishes.
Diners can enjoy the offer during dinner sittings from 5.30pm, Tuesdays to Thursdays throughout October. The residency at The Jackalope pub in Marylebone, which began life as a pop up, also continues to thrive with its loyal noodle-hungry following.
Founded by Charlene Liu and Linda Liu, two friends and flatmates from Chongqing, one of China’s spice capitals, Liu Xiaomian started life as a street food stall in 2018. Their mission has always been simple: to bring the bold, numbing, chilli oil kick of authentic Chongqing Xiaomian to London.
The menu stays true to their roots with a tight edit of noodles, wontons, sides and desserts, all anchored by their addictive, homemade chilli oil.
“As relative newcomers with our first permanent site opening only last year in Carnaby, it’s been thrilling to be embraced so warmly by both critics and guests,” says Charlene Liu, co founder of Liu Xiaomian. “Hearing diners call us their favourite noodle spot in London gives us the confidence to keep cooking the food we love.”
Since opening their Carnaby site in February 2024, Liu Xiaomian have attracted glowing reviews. The Sunday Times highlighted them in its The best restaurants of 2024, while features from TopJaw (with Uncle Roger and Felicity Jones) and Secret London spotlighted their Marylebone residency.
Guests are equally enthusiastic: “Easily some of the best Chinese noodles I’ve had in the UK, took me back to being in Chongqing!”.
“We want to give London something to really dig into this October,” adds Linda Liu. “Our spicy homemade chilli oil is the heartbeat of our bowls; fiery, fragrant, and truly addictive. The 2 for 1 noodle nights are our way of saying thank you and giving everyone a reason to slurp with a smile.”
With their Carnaby restaurant buzzing and their Marylebone pub residency firmly in place, Liu Xiaomian are inviting Londoners to form an orderly line, grab a friend, and dive into bowls of steaming noodles that will leave you warm, rosy and ready for more.
