Nakanojo expands in the capital with its second site opening in Marylebone in early 2023

Nikkei restaurant Nakanojo is delighted to announce the opening of its second site in Marylebone. Situated on Thayer Street and due to open in early 2023, the launch is part of the restaurant group’s continued expansion plan with more locations planned in the capital next year.

Now with a prime central London location, the premium casual Nakanojo’s second opening will sit alongside the inaugural King’s Road site which has quickly garnered loyal fans since its opening in Summer 2021. London’s first Peruvian Izakaya, Nakanojo takes its namesake from a small town in Japan and celebrates the rich cultures of Japan and Peru, offering an eclectic array of Nikkei inspired dishes including sushi, ceviches and tacos which sit alongside the inimitable pisco sours, an array of sake and the signature Bobas cocktails.

The 2,000 sq ft Marylebone site will cater for up to 100 covers across two floors and the interiors will see Nakanajo’s signature mural and the trademark cherry blossom tree.

Each table can expect to receive an array of dishes designed for sharing, allowing diners to explore every aspect of the menu, promoting a more sociable dining experience. Nakanojo has perfected a range of signature dishes that take diners on a gastronomic journey; hero dishes include the likes of chicken kara-age served coated in chipotle mayo and red onion, the Taco Fiesta which offers a range of fillings including pulled pork pibil, wagyu carne asada, salmon ceviche and portobello tataki and the sea bass ceviche, a blend of coconut leche de tigre, red onion, mango salsa and canchas and not forgetting the diverse array of sushi.
