PIRAÑA London is now open, bringing entertainment-led Nikkei fine dining to St James’s
PIRAÑA London, the new entertainment-led Nikkei restaurant destined to be the most sought-after party spot in the West End, has officially opened its doors on St James’s Street. The venue has been brought to life by acclaimed nightlife group, Strongarm Hospitality, and is poised to become the new jewel in the crown of their portfolio, which includes The London REIGN, YŪKI, TABŪ London and TABŪ Mykonos.
Guests can now indulge in PIRAÑA’s elevated dining concept in its breathtaking space, which merges chic contemporary design with avant-garde touches. Open for lunch and dinner, the 110-cover entertainment and dining venue is the ideal space for celebrations, with DJs on decks until 1am.
The new venue includes a bar, restaurant, and an immersive floating 12-seat private dining room enclosed by one-way windows, giving guests both privacy and views overlooking the main restaurant. Renowned hospitality consultants LXA have transformed the one-storey venue into an architecturally daring restaurant.
PIRAÑA serves up Nikkei cuisine, a Peruvian and Japanese fusion whose hero dishes include Butter Roasted Chilean Sea Bass, with Coriander Shiso Ponzu and Lamb Chops Anticucho with Aubergine Purée, Aji and Amarillo Yoghurt. The menu is divided into several sections including Raws, which features a range of ceviches such as the refreshing Prawn Ceviche with Grapefruit Leche de Tigre, Hijiki Seaweed and Lotus Crisp, and the plant based Fennel and Golden Beetroot Ceviche with Yuzu Leche de Tigre, Quinoa and Avocado. There are also Kushiyaki Skewers, different prime cuts of Wagyu Beef served with Salsa Verde, Nikkei Chimichurri and Goma Ponzu, and a luxurious Caviar and Belvedere Bump Experience. Dishes are paired with a well-curated wine and champagne list offering both old and new world references.
The expert bar team has created a fantastic cocktail list to ensure guests get their groove on, featuring a dedicated espresso martini menu which includes the GOUTÉ, with Nutella and Bailey’s, the Tiramisu, with Freshly Brewed Espresso & Fresh Mascarpone, and the Luxury, garnished with Golden Coffee Beans & Gold Flake, variants of the popular drink. Other signature cocktails include The Don, with Don Julio 1942 Tequila, Wasabi and Yuzu, and the Lady, with Belvedere Vodka, Aperol, Lime Juice, Raspberry Purée, and Vanilla Syrup.
Garry Caprani, co-founder of PIRAÑA says: “I believe PIRAÑA is exactly what London has been waiting for! We saw an opportunity to blend food and fun into a unique and captivating dining experience. Our guests will be immersed in a celebratory atmosphere, bursting with exciting flavours and playful cocktails. Eat, drink, and dance the night away!”
