Mistress of Mayfair – the highly-anticipated, Parisian-inspired restaurant and members lounge is now open. Nestled below street level on the corner of St. James’s Street and Piccadilly, Mistress is discrete and exclusive, designed to cater to those who relish only the finer things in life.

On the menu is a tantalising selection of classic French dishes, reimagined for a modern Mayfair. Signature dishes include an impressive Seabass Dugléré, served with tomato, butter, dill and samphire; seared diver scallops, served with Jerusalem artichoke, chicken jus, smoked chicken skin, and pomelo; grilled poussin, served with lemon pepper jus and Mistress chips; and a show-stopping Sole Meunière, with butter, lemon, and capers.

Smaller plates and cold options will include oysters, served ‘classique’ (Mignonette, Tabasco, and lemon) or ‘nouveau’ (Champagne granita and pickled apple); as well as Sturia Oscietra caviar with house made blinis; steak tartare, served with crunchy sourdough, cured Burford brown yolk, cornichons, and radishes; and a decadent lobster roll in brioche, dressed in aioli and served with lemon truffle hollandaise.

The food offering at Mistress is complemented by a stellar list of classic and signature cocktails, and an outstanding selection of wines. Mistress is a place where excellent taste, a passion for luxury, and a hedonist approach converge.

Dressed in a seductive fusion of sultry reds, alluring deep pinks, plush velvet and leather textures, Mistress will offer a taste of Parisian chic, hidden beneath the streets of Mayfair.

Mistress both takes inspiration from, and subverts, the history of the clandestine tunnels beneath St James’ Street, through which ladies of the night were once smuggled at the behest of the male members of White’s private club. Now the Mistress returns, with a palace all of her own.

An impressive schedule of resident and guest DJs will spin funk, soul and disco house, late into the night. Each and every moment with Mistress will leave her patrons wanting more.
