Fridays, part of newly listed Hostmore plc, has announced a brand-new limited-edition cocktail, The Earl Grey Queen-Tini, in celebration of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.

As preparations get underway for a long weekend of celebrations, Fridays is doing what it does best by joining the party and commemorating this momentous occasion by launching a limited edition, and never-before-seen cocktail recipe, ‘The Earl Grey Queen-Tini’.

The cocktail, which has been developed by Fridays’ team of expert bartenders, will be exclusively available in all Fridays restaurants throughout the Jubilee bank holiday weekend.

Inspired by the Queen’s fondness for a cup of Earl Grey tea, this cocktail exudes sweet and zesty lemon flavours and is handcrafted with Tanqueray Gin, Simple Syrup, alongside a dash of Earl Grey Tea, itself. Proving a royal treat for your taste buds and your eyes, the tipple is, of course, topped with a lemon peel crown.

Once the recipe was finalised, Fridays took to social media to include its fans in the celebrations by asking them to choose the name of the new cocktail via a vote. The options included Tea Ma’am, Lemon Lillibet and Royal-Tea, but Earl Grey Queen-tini was the clear winner.

Brendan Quinn, Head of Beverage at Fridays, commented:

“Fridays has always been a place for celebration. Our famous and iconic cocktails have been a core feature of that Fridays Feeling and experience right from day one, in 1965  New York. So it’s only right that we launch this limited edition cocktail for the biggest celebration of them all: the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.

“We wanted to create something that included some of the Queen’s favourite flavours, but that also had that Fridays’ flair our guests have come to expect and love. With lemon and earl grey tea being a classic pair, we couldn’t resist putting them together.

“Our team of incredible bartenders came up with this recipe and we can’t wait for people to try it. We believe it’s the perfect way to celebrate the occasion in true royal style. We promise you won’t find another cocktail like this anywhere else, so make sure you don’t miss out!”

The Earl Grey Queen-tini will be available in all Fridays restaurants from Thursday, 2^nd June 2022 to Sunday, 5^th June 2022.
