PizzaExpress has today announced the launch of its 2022 spring menu which includes the nationwide rollout of its vegan-version garlic butter, as well as a range of brand-new dishes celebrating seasonality and freshness.
Vibrant colours and fresh flavours dominate the new menu which includes the Romana Garlic Prawn pizza, a seafood lovers’ dream; the Romana Vegan Mezze, a feast for the eyes and taste buds with smoky chilli chargrilled veg, spicy harissa, fresh rocket and houmous; and a vegan-friendly starter of Baked Garlic Mushroom topped with vegan mozzarella alternative, pine kernels and balsamic dressing.
PizzaExpress’ infamous Leggera pizza – the lighter, healthier pizza with a salad-filled hole in the middle – has had a recipe refresh. The new pizza and salad recipes offer the same great taste as the Romana pizza but for a third of the calories. New Leggara pizzas include Pomodoro, Garlic Prawn and Quattro Verdure.
Fresh and seasonal ingredients will be added throughout the menu, like multicoloured baby plum tomatoes, fresh baby spinach and rocket. The new-recipe Vegan Nourish Bowl features a whole host of fresh and delicious ingredients including mixed grains, garlic tenderstem broccoli, roasted peppers, baby spinach, cucumber, artichokes and houmous.
For those with a sweet tooth five new desserts are on offer, including Sicilian Lemon and White Chocolate Roulade, Olive Oil and Blood Orange Ripple Gelato, Stracciatella Gelato and Vegan Watermelon Sorbet.
There are also a variety of new drinks, from Naturally Pink Apple Juice to the Pornstar Martini and Campari Negroni.
The spring menu will be available in every PizzaExpress pizzeria across the UK from 22 March.
