Dirty Bones to open Flagship Carnaby Street site

London’s original NYC-style restaurant group is expanding: opening in a bigger, buzzier, 140-seater site in Carnaby’s Kingly Court on 4 October 2021

London’s NYC-inspired restaurant group, Dirty Bones, is expanding, opening in a brand-new site in Carnaby’s Kingly Court on 4 October 2021. Complete with DJ booth, basement bar, indoor and outdoor seating; set to be the ultimate spot for drinking, dining, and dancing in Soho.

The launch marks the next episode in the much-loved restaurant group’s story, born in a Kensington basement site with one simple ethos: to offer good food and good vibes. The Dirty Bones family already operates across five sites in London and Oxford.

The new opening will see the existing Dirty Bones Carnaby restaurant reimagined across two floors of the ground floor of Kingly Court, with 30 team members overseeing indoor and outdoor dining. A mega basement bar is available for private hire: ready for parties, exclusive events and intimate live gigs. The DJ booth is set for entertaining into the evening. A soundtrack of old school hip-hop, funk and soul paired with moody, low lighting creates the signature vibe, establishing Dirty Bones Kingly Court as London’s must-visit spot for good food and good vibes.

Dirty Bones handpicked DJs will be spinning live every Friday and Saturday, with the restaurant group continuing to support London’s live music scene and musicians via long-standing charity partner, Youth Music UK. Soon to be Carnaby’s go-to venue, Dirty Bones Kingly Court will also host a weekend brunch, accompanied by the best beats in town.

In true Dirty Bones fashion, they’ll be serving their signature twisted comfort food dishes, and cocktails. To mark the big launch Dirty Bones has created the ‘Reverse Cheeseburger’ – a new dish exclusive to the Carnaby site. The Classic burger is served alongside a truffled hot cheese sauce, ready to be poured over your burger tableside – the ultimate picture-taking moment.

New to the menu are a range of Dirty Bones own Lager Cocktails as well as favourites like ‘The Mac Daddy’ with pulled short rib of beef, mac & cheese and espresso-spiked BBQ sauce ‘Crispy Fried Chicken’ made with a signature blend of buttermilk and spices, served with creamy garlic ranch dipping sauce, ‘Chicken and Waffles’, ‘Cheeseburger Dumplings’, ‘Baby Back Ribs’ and more.

There will be a slick list of new Dirty Bones lager cocktails served in their signature can, alongside classics like the ‘Dirty Mary’ – a twisted classic using hot sauce, pickle juices and a rim of crushed sour cream Pringles and ‘Mutts Nuts’ with rum, bitters, lime and Ting grapefruit soda.

The new W1 postcode site has been transformed by Design studio Macaulay Sinclair, widely recognised for their restaurant expertise, having worked with a range of industry heavyweights since 2003. The finished site is the spot, perfectly suited to the Dirty Bones brief: an inspiring, experiential restaurant in which people feel relaxed, ready to socialise, dine, drink and enjoy London again.

CEO and co-founder Cokey Sulkin says:

“We are so excited to move our Carnaby Dirty Bones restaurant to this brand spanking new site. We’ve got a chance here to play around with space, enabling us to push the boundaries of what it means to dine out. We’ll be merging the worlds of food and music and bringing it all together under the banner of proper hospitality and good times. We are looking forward to this next step and what feels like a natural evolution of the brand.”

Julia Wilkinson, Restaurant Director at Shaftesbury PLC says:  “We are delighted to see the continued success of Dirty Bones, and the upsize of their new restaurant on the ground floor of Kingly Court.  Dirty Bones is a much-loved restaurant and their re-launch in the three-story alfresco food hub in the heart of Carnaby is the perfect addition to London’s West End.”
