HOME-X Introduces Mother’s Day Edition and announces new themed menus For March 2021

Mums will always hold an irreplaceable spot in our hearts. It’s the most unique of relationships and with Mother’s Day just around the corner, it’s the perfect time to start thinking about what to give the most influential women in your life. 

From mums to grandmothers, HOME-X have launched a luxurious dining experience that will make it a day she won’t forget with a seasonally inspired menu from Chef Nico Simeone. 

As well as the new Mother’s Day themed box, HOME-X today reveal the latest themed menus for March from Home by Nico, Chateau-X, The Cheese Club as well as their first vegan dining experience Green Haus.

Home by Nico – “Cooking Tuscany” 

A taste of Tuscan cuisine is on the menu this March. With everyone longing for a holiday in the sun, Home by Nico (from Six by Nico) brings Tuscany’s legendary cuisine – known for artful simplicity, fresh ingredients, and hearty flavours to your home.

A trip to Tuscany will begin with two starters of theRibollita with Salsa al Dragoncello –  Pistou broth with Tarragon salsa verde and Pici al ragu di cinghiale – Pici pasta with wild boar ragu, followed by a main course of Pork Cheek Rosticciana – braised pork stew with chilli, fennel, rosemary and Borlotti beans and a side dish of Broccolo with salsa di noci – walnut & basil pesto. To compliment the dishes there will be a sweet and delightful Raisin & Rosemary Sourdough bread with olive oil, balsamic vinegar and Pane Toscanoand to finish a creamy Hazelnut Bombellini with mascarpone, honey and chestnut.Cooking Tuscany is served with a bottle of Monte Guelfo, Chianti.

Home by Nico – “Mothers Day Edition”

RELEASED FRIDAY 19TH FEBRUARY 2021 – PREORDER FROM 0900AM

With this carefully curated Mother’s Day Edition from Home by Nico, show your mum how much she means to you.

The four course menu begins with Potted Hot Smoked Salmon, Cucumber & AppleSirloin of Beef (500g), Red Wine Jus, Butter Garlic & Thyme served with sides of Truffle Cheese Dauphinoise with Garlic & ThymeSpring Vegetable Fricassee with carrot, fresh Pea and a mint dressing

Cheese course comes in the form of Mrs Kirkham’s Lancashire, Spiced Orchard Fruit Chutney & Water crackers and dessert is a Dark Chocolate Mousse, Salted Caramel & Golden Cocoa Nibs. The Home by Nico: Mother’s Day Edition is served with a Montresor Prosecco Millesimato Extra Dry Prosecco.

Green Haus: Spring Volume 1

Discover tasty meat alternatives with Green Haus and their new Spring menu curated for vegans and health-conscious consumers – taking your vegetarian dining experience to the next level of ease and appeal.

Guests can tuck into a selection of eight appetising sharing dishes, starting with Shepherd’s Pie with hay smoked celeriac, sweet potato mash and toasted barley; Mexican Hot and Sour Soup with crushed nachos, chipotle and tomatoes; Charred Brassicas with purple sprouting broccoli, cavolo nero, pink peppercorn and bulgar wheat; Bombay Potatoes with puffed rice, coronation coleslaw and candied fennel seeds; Peanut Hummus with roasted peanuts, compressed celery and celery salt;Hoi Sin Aubergine with buckwheat noodles, roasted shiitake and five spice onions; Boccatini Gratin with roasted squash, arran mustard and pumpkin seed pestoand finally the Carrot Cake with carrot icing, toasted flaxseed, orange soaked jumbo raisinsGreen Haus: Spring Volume 1 is served with a bottle of Septimo Sentido Verdejo.

Chateau-X 

HOME-X’s finest Chateau-X experience has been revamped with an unusual twist on the dry-aged chateaubriand. For this limited edition, the team have created a treacle cured chateaubriand which has been marinated for 48 hours, leading to a subtle cure that allows the chateaubriand to take in the depth and smokiness of the treacle – making the meat succulent and the caramelisation process even easier to achieve at home. 

To accompany the chateaubriand will be Hassle-back Potatoes with beef fat and Shallot & Herb Dressing; Roasted Celeriac with truffle and black garlic emulsionand for dessert a Steamed Treacle Pudding with ginger creme anglaise and baked orange.Chateau-X includes a bottle of Boutinot ‘Les Coteaux’ Côtes du Rhône Villages.

The Cheese Club

Lastly, The Cheese Club will continue to deliver a new selection of seven artisan cheeses (150g each), accompanied by crackers, three different flavours of hand-made chutney including Membrillo quince paste, damson & apple conserve and peach, apricot and sultana chutney and paired with a bottle of Il Cascinone, Palazzina Moscato Passito from Piemonth, Italy. The box will includeMrs Kirkham’s Lancashire, Anster, St. Andrews Farmhouse, Corra Linn, Dorstone, Lancashire Blue and Montgomery Cheddar.

Delivery dates are variable throughout March. “Home by Nico: Mother’s Day Edtion” is available for preorder from 09:00am on Friday 19th February 2021. 

HOME-X experiences can be ordered up to 12 months in advance, however the ever-changing monthly themed menus will be announced at the beginning of every month on the HOME-X platform.

About Chef Nico Simeone

Born in Glasgow, to Italian parents, Chef Nico Simeone (31) was raised in a family of Mediterranean foodies. His earliest memories are of his mother’s Italian cooking, helping her in the kitchen and large family meals around the table. His colourful career has included working at Michelin starred ‘Number One’ at the Balmoral Hotel in Edinburgh. Nico’s business goals and work ethic aimed towards challenging his skills as both a chef and restaurant operator. He launched his debut restaurant ‘111 by Nico’ in Glasgow in 2015. Nico Simeone launched the first Six by Nico in Finnieston, Glasgow in 2017 and subsequently opened his second site in Edinburgh in 2018. In 2019, he expanded outside Scotland opening restaurants in Belfast, Manchester Liverpool and most recently opened Six by Nico London in July 2020.
