Boringdon Hall Hotel launches a tasting menu to remember
Boringdon Hall Hotel is delighted to announce the launch of its Tasting Menu to Remember package. In collaboration with Head Chef Scott Paton, guests at the 5-star country house hotel in Devon will have the opportunity to transform their special memories or favourite foods into a bespoke culinary experience.
Priced from £975 per couple, the package includes the creation of a five-course tasting menu with matched wines, an overnight stay in one of the hotel’s luxury suites, welcome gift upon arrive and a 60-minute treatment per person at the hotel’s luxury Gaia Spa.
Perfect for celebrating the most special of occasions and commemorating past experiences, Scott invites guests to simply share a taste of nostalgia and in turn he will craft a unique and entirely inspired tasting menu to suit, served in the intimate surrounds of The Gallery dining room.
Scott Paton says, ‘We had guests celebrating their 10th wedding anniversary with us and they asked me to incorporate their wedding dessert of lemon meringue pie into their tasting menu; using my imagination and creativity to make it just as memorable as the first time they shared it; on their first date 16 years ago. The result – a glazed lemon mousse, zingy sorbet, creamy lemon posset to be made to look like a tiny lemon, topped with toasted meringue for softness, dried meringue for crunch, and yuzu marshmallow for intrigue. The dish was officially born, and a memory recreated.’]
Boringdon Hall’s award-winning 3AA Rosette Gallery Restaurant is renowned for its seasonally led menu, offering skilfully executed dishes, all beautifully presented and abundant with local produce. Having been awarded ‘Best Chef’ at Food Magazine Reader Awards 2017 and Caterer Acorn Winner, Scott takes spectacular dining to a new level. Therefore, the elegant and intimate space matched with Scott’s eloquent food provides the most memorable of dining experiences.
With 42 rooms and suites, two restaurants, fire-lit lounges, enchanting nooks and manicured grounds, the hotel makes for the perfect romantic retreat.
The recent addition of Gaia Spa provides a special space where guests find themselves naturally relaxed, with facilities including a luxury indoor swimming pool, hydrotherapy pool with countryside views, Finnish sauna, crystal salt steam room, Laconium herbal sauna and alfresco hot tubs. Named Hotel Spa of the Year in Western Europe & Scandinavia at the 2019 World Spa & Wellness Awards, the space has become a haven for those in search of rejuvenation.
The property also boasts The Mayflower Brasserie, a more casual dining affair and perfect backdrop for weekday lunches.
With a flair for creativity and vision, Scott’s dishes always tell a story, and this latest offering adds an extra touch of magic to the Boringdon Hall experience.
