Summer drink trends: Cocktail Recipe

When the summer comes around for us this brings different drink trends each year. A few years ago every summer you would need cases & cases of fruit cider each week. Each flavour would fly out and be served with a glass with lots of ice and fruit, making for an aesthetically looking drink and one of the most refreshing alcoholic beverages. Over the last couple of years sales of cocktails during the hot days have risen with no sign of slowing down. This puts pressure on the bar tenders of Parogon to always be thinking ahead of the curve to create a delicious drink that is different to what you can get elsewhere. Some of our most traditionally popular summer drinks include Aperol Spritz, The Hugo, Rhubarb Collins and many, many more.

The rhubarb Collins is one of the drinks that are incredibly popular across the sites, giving a welcome summery twist on the traditional Tom Collins with a fresh rhubarb & lemon tone. Each week our bar teams across the company put forward a unique cocktail idea which will get made up, photographed and offered to our guests as a special, this is usually the best way of choosing the new cocktails for our new menus if the specials sell well.

The Parogon recipe for a Rhubarb Collins
• 40ml Warner Edwards Rhubarb
• 10ml Aperol
• 10ml Cranberry Juice
• 10ml Gomme
• Half a lemon (Squeezed) shaken and poured over a glass of crushed ice topped with lemonade, and garnished with a lemon twist and a fresh raspberry.
