Ham Restaurant Joins West Hampstead Farmers Market Asparagus Festival this May
As British asparagus season spears into life, Ham will join London Farmers Market in launching the West Hampstead Asparagus Festival on Saturday 11th May, to celebrate the vibrant spring green. Head Chef at the neighbourhood restaurant, Matt Osborne will showcase the delicate seasonal vegetable with a live cooking session from 10am where visitors are invited to ask questions.
Matt will prepare and plate pressed Fosse Meadows chicken leg with cow’s curd mousse and a fresh asparagus and basil salad which market-goers will be able to purchase. Visit Iverson Road to meet the growers and browse a splendid array of stalls. From delicious asparagus pizza and ravioli to homemade asparagus tarts and pots of homemade asparagus pesto, the West Hampstead festival is an enjoyable way to acknowledge and welcome British asparagus season and celebrate this spring delicacy.
Amongst the sea of green, the children can keep a look out for those hidden golden spears, for the chance to win a little prize from Bake Empire and adults can enter the draw to win a basket of fresh, British asparagus from one of the trusted London Farmers Market producers.
