Burger & Beyond open the doors to their first restaurant in Shoreditch
Burger favourites Burger & Beyond have now opened doors to their first restaurant at 147 Shoreditch High Street that brings their signature buns to a permanent site for the very first time, as well as a new expanded menu.In keeping with their current residencies at KERB, Street Feast and Camden Assembly, the brand’s burgers and sides, honed after three and a half years in the business, take centre stage. ‘Drinking snacks’ and ‘Small Plates’ show the team’s creative side alongside a list of crafted cocktails and drinks.The drinks on offer have been carefully thought out with selected cocktails such as Almond Old Fashioned ( rye, bourbon, almonds, bitters), Last Word ( gin, maraschino, chartreuse, lime), Rhubarb Margarita ( tequila, lime rhubarb ), White Lady ( gin, cointreau, lemon, egg white) and B&B Punch (rum, peach, lime, grapefruit). A carefully selected beer list champions craft brewers while the wine list celebrates independent producers, picked to compliment the signature dishes on the menu.Sample menu

Just two desserts are available to round off the meal including Deep-fried blueberry pie with clotted cream ice-cream.The concept behind the design comes from Tom and Craig’s preference of clean lines and linear lighting, which is fused with a feeling of openness and softness throughout the ground floor. Interior designers Run For The Hills have placed a lot emphasis on using modern black and raw steel metals over a variety of mesh and bolts, set against a natural backdrop of materials such as stone, vintage bricks and lime wash paint to give a warmer, cosier take on the typical East London restaurant. A huge concrete bar sits next to leather and canvas cushioned banquettes, also grounded with concrete bases – a style that continues down to the basement floor where snug cushioned caves glow from within via red neon lighting and monochromatic geometric tiling.
