Sumosan Twiga London, the east meets the west gourmet hot spot from hospitality power house Flavio Briatore of the Billionaire Life Group, and restauranteur Janina Wolkow, welcomes Chef Reif Othman who will be taking the helm as the venue’s Executive Chef from this month. This follows the announcement of Othman as Executive Chef and Business Partner of Sumosan Twiga’s parent company Billionaire Life Group.
The award-winning chef joins the group to bring his culinary artistry to the Japanese menu, injecting his innovative style to the Sumosan legacy. Diners will experience a teaser of Othman’s creations in London during July, with the full menu launching in August 2018. Othman, renowned for his visionary dining experiences, celebrated at his most recent project ‘The Experience’ and Play at the H Hotel in Dubai, will also be overseeing front of house operations at Sumosan Twiga London, leading the restaurant in to an exciting new phase of its residency in London.
Commenting on his new appointment, Othman adds: “This is an exciting new journey for me. London is a city with continuous growth of culinary experiences, innovative concepts and cuisines, and a melting pot of pure talents. My vision for Sumosan Twiga is to harness the brand’s energy which attracts its very loyal international following and to further grow its reputation for serious food beyond the party!”
Othman, raised and trained in Singapore, has gained global recognition and celebrity status through his culinary genius and expertise. The chef’s international recognition began in 2007 working as Group Executive Chef at One Rochester Group. Joining Zuma Dubai in 2009, Othman was appointed Regional Executive Chef for the UAE in 2014, establishing Zuma’s strength and influence in Dubai with the restaurant awarded a place on the prestigious San Pellegrino World’s Best Restaurants list for four consecutive years under his culinary leadership. Othman’s direction also spanned Zuma Miami, Istanbul and D’Hotel in Marmaris.
Chef Reif Othman joins Billionaire Life from R.A.W. Galadari Holdings & Absolute F&B Facilities Management, where as Director of Culinary, working with PLAY Restaurant & Lounge, he curated the world acclaimed ‘The Experience’ project at H Hotel, elevating the culinary experience in Dubai to new heights.
