How Matcha!’s Newest Location Brings Creativity, Community and Matcha to Notting Hill

How Matcha! – London’s favourite all-day Matcha bar is bringing its community-driven cafe concept to the vibrant streets of Notting Hill from September.
Spanning across three floors, the new cafe is the place to be this summer to get your matcha fix.
How Matcha! ‘s latest venue will be housed on 52 Ledbury Road. The idyllic venue spanning over three floors with 30 covers provides the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of West London.
The ground floor offers a sense of home away from home with its cosy sofas and chilled aesthetics, with oak panel walls bringing a slice of natural Japanese beauty.
Located downstairs is the Kintsugi Room, adorned with wood and marble, allowing guests to find a moment of peace and embrace elements of mindfulness often associated with traditional matcha preparation.
The Garden Room offers more seating and opens into a calm garden area – a chance to enjoy the sun-soaked courtyard whilst the skies are still blue.
Fans of the existing site in Marylebone will be thrilled to hear that familiar menu items such as the Wasabi Matcha Shot, the Dirty Matcha – as loved by some of their celebrity regulars – and the Immune, matcha infused with cinnamon, ginger, turmeric, black pepper, bee pollen, and honey will be available alongside some new Notting Hill exclusive options, including Matcha Noir, matcha made with black sesame, roasted chestnut, activated charcoal, matcha and the Sunburst, with matcha, strawberry jam, peach puree banana and turmeric milk and matcha – sunshine in a cup. The menu will also feature seasonal items such as Strawberry & Elderflower Tonic and a Lychee Tonic, providing the perfect summer refresh.
Also available for summer, is How Matcha!’s new soft serve, created in partnership with Wild Oats. The soft serve will come in two flavours, an unsweetened Iced Oat Matcha Latte flavour, and a Dirty Matcha Flavour.
Led by founder Rashique Siddique and Callum Doherty who will run operations in Notting Hill; How Matcha! will continue the community legacy of its first site, creating a hub for connection, creativity and culture. Callum explains: ‘bringing people together and providing a space for belonging is the heart of what we do at How Matcha! People don’t just drop in, guests often spend four to five hours here each day, feeling truly at home. It’s so important to us to champion smaller suppliers, support independent businesses, and celebrate their growth as our shared success too.’ The success of How Matcha! Marylebone has meant the café has grown from 3 employees to 11 in just over a year.
More than just a café, How Matcha! also curates community events to cultivate its community of matcha lovers. The Notting Hill How Matcha! Run Club will start on 7th September.. Runners will begin at the Marylebone location and will run to the new Notting Hill site.
Boasting infectious energy, experimental menus, and exciting events, How Matcha! Notting Hill is the new go-to spot for a matcha-fuelled escape from the ordinary.
