The Art School and The Jockey Club proudly announce a new deal for Paul Askew and his team to continue at The Grand National

Chef Patron Paul Askew and his team at The Art School in Liverpool are incredibly proud to announce they will be continuing their partnership with The Jockey Club and The Grand National for the next three years, starting from April 2025.
Hot on the heels of 2024’s spectacular weekend of racing, this news cements a relationship which further elevates the gastronomic experience at The Grand National. The Art School’s impeccable fine-dining experience takes place in Topham House each day, where the city centre-based restaurant is lovingly created for the weekend, this year from Thursday 3rd to Saturday 5th April at Aintree racecourse.
Paul Askew says: “We are absolutely thrilled with our relationship with The Jockey Club and to announce we’re continuing our wonderful partnership with them for another three years. Since 2022 we’ve proudly served the world’s greatest horse racing event’s patrons in the magnificent Topham House setting. Quite simply, there’s no other sporting event like The Grand National and we’re honoured to part of their story. And of course, showcasing some of the region’s finest produce and exquisite global wines helps tell the wonderful story of Liverpool’s food and drink ambition, creativity and stature too, in a perfect pairing. I’m so proud of every member of staff who creates The Art School experience and I also want to say huge thanks to our wonderful customers and their continued support for what we do at The Grand National with The Jockey Club. We can’t wait to welcome you in April.”
Dickon White, Aintree and North West Regional Director from The Jockey Club, said: “We are delighted to continue our partnership with Paul Askew and The Art School for the next three years. The Randox Grand National is a world-class event, and the culinary experience provided by The Art School enhances the occasion for our guests in an extraordinary way. Paul and his team bring a level of excellence that reflects the prestige of this historic race, and we look forward to welcoming racegoers back to Aintree and into The Art School this April.”
In 2025 Paul and his team at The Art School continue to celebrate reaching their 10th anniversary in September 2024. The Art School is set inside the stunning Victorian 1888 ‘Home for Destitute Children’ building. The glorious Lantern Room’s menus celebrate the best of the region’s seasonal produce in world-class gastronomy, including tasting and prix fixe choices alongside a global wine list. The Art School Cellars Bar offers Afternoon Tea and cocktails, there’s a stunning private wine tasting space and The Moriarty Room hosts intimate gatherings, as one of the UK’s top 50 best restaurants. Paul and his team work at the highest gastronomic standards and seek to showcase Liverpool’s dining scene on the national and international stages.
