Tharavadu to bring over 70 jobs to Leeds with new venture, UYARE!

Multi-award-winning restaurant, Tharavadu, is continuing to set the gold standard for South Indian dining with brand-new restaurant venture, UYARE, opening in spring this year.

Despite the current economic climate, and many hospitality venues struggling heading into 2025, Tharavadu is bringing hope to local people and businesses with the creation of new jobs and partnerships focused within the Leeds area.

Housed on top of iconic city centre shopping destination, Victoria Gate, UYARE promises to be a dining destination like no other, offering a seamless blend of culinary artistry, visionary mixology and guest experience.

With a unique “small plate, small price” concept, UYARE invites guests to celebrate the joy of South Indian food, with their familiar signature Keralan flavours running through each dish. From everyday indulgences to momentous celebrations, UYARE aims to be the perfect venue for locals and visitors alike.

In its sought-after rooftop location, the vast space of UYARE provides the perfect venue for dining, drinking and celebrating. Not only does the venue include the 200-cover BHOOMI restaurant, helmed by the award-winning chefs of Tharavadu, it also offers a premium bar and terrace for visitors. AGNI, the stunning bar inside UYARE, offers a 150 -seater space with a central 360° bar, featuring a range of high-quality carefully crafted drinks and cocktails. The true jewel of the venue is the all-weather 50-cover rooftop terrace, showcasing panoramic views over Leeds City centre. With a retractable glass cover, guests can experience a night under the stars whatever the weather.

Now, the UYARE by Tharavadu team are looking for talented individuals to join their team, with over seventy roles available. Management positions include; General Manager, Reservations Manager, Guest Relations Manager, Assistant Guest Relations Manager, Restaurant Manager, Bar Manager, Assistant Bar Manager and Head Bar Tender. In the kitchen, the team are hiring a Head Chef, Sous Chefs and two South Indian Speciality Chefs. There will also be numerous waiting-on and casual positions available.

The hiring team are also offering generous packages with benefits including discounted meals, bonus opportunities, pension schemes and plentiful training opportunities.
