The family-run Italian restaurant group San Carlo has announced the rebrand of its Knightsbridge site, transforming from Cicchetti to one of the brand’s much-loved flagship restaurants. 

Located on Hans Road, adjacent to Harrods, San Carlo Knightsbridge opens seven days a week serving up freshly prepared regionally inspired plates, mostly using ingredients sourced directly from artisan producers in Italy. 

San Carlo Knightsbridge will offer a traditional Italian food and beverage menu in keeping with San Carlo’s timeless style. Using the best of new-season produce, San Carlo’s winter menu includes a delicious variety of carne (meat), pesci (fish), and dolci (sweet) dishes, as well as new starters and pasta dishes. 

The 100-cover restaurant spans two floors and has a standalone bar and a private dining room for 18 guests. The elegant interiors reflect Venetian architecture, influenced by residents like Carlo Scarpa, featuring varnished wood and a light palette inspired by water taxis and luxury yachts of the region.

Last year, San Carlo Knightsbridge won Overall Restaurant Winner and Best Europe Restaurant/Bar at the 2023 Restaurant & Bar Design Awards, acknowledging creative spaces and their creators. Guests to the restaurant can expect a buzzing atmosphere, and the impeccable service synonymous with the San Carlo family of restaurants. 

The San Carlo restaurant group remains defiantly independent, with each award-winning restaurant headed up by its own team of skilled chefs and management and working with only the best Italian seasonal produce – all underpinned by one thing – a passion for great food, service and style.

The rebrand of San Carlo Knightsbridge is latest news from the San Carlo restaurant group that opened its first restaurant in 1992 on Temple Street, Birmingham. Now a £100M award-winning family-run restaurant group, San Carlo currently has 25 authentic Italian restaurants across the UK. 

In addition to its UK sites, internationally the Group also has restaurants in Kuwait, Bangkok and Qatar and will soon be further expanding into Bahrain, Dubai and Miami. Through its growth, San Carlo has remained rooted in its heritage.
