For this year’s International Women’s Day, botanical drinks maker Fentimans is celebrating all the fearless and inspiring women who support, inspire and drive the drinks industry.
In celebration of International Women’s Day on Sunday 8th March, the ‘She is Fearless‘ campaign will run throughout the whole of March. Fentimans are inviting individuals working in the industry (both male and female) to nominate women whose individual actions, behaviours and mindsets have contributed to making a difference in the world of drinks and hospitality, from suppliers and bartenders to brand ambassadors, back of house staff and all areas of retail. The name of this award draws inspiration from the company’s iconic logo, Thomas Fentiman’s family dog, Fearless. Not many people realise that Fearless was a female, and living up to her name, she became the two-time winner of Crufts in 1933 and 1934. Thomas Fentiman was so proud of her achievements, she has guarded every Fentimans product ever since.
Fentimans has a equally balanced gender audience, as well as an equally balanced workforce, with women fulfilling all kinds of key roles within the company, from sales manages to technical experts. Through this campaign, Fentimans hopes to share the achievements of women from a wide range of diverse roles, both from within the company and throughout the industry as a whole, to help further forge gender equality in the industry.
Ultimately, equality is not a women’s issue, but a business issue, and without gender equality, economies, communities and brands will fail to thrive.
