A Taste of Vegan Indian

Last night, Monday 20th of January, guests were wowed by The Mint Room, Bath who held a very special Veganuary Supperclub Dinner Event to kick off the New Year. The Veganuary Supperclub – A Taste of Vegan Indian saw the collaboration between the Award Winning Restaurant and Guest Chef Saurav Nath. The exclusive supper club  was created and co-hosted by Food and Hospitality consultant Humayun Hussain.

The tantalising five-course menu included such dishes as Beetroot Croquette Infused with Ginger, Grilled Celeriac and Pumpkin Cooked with Pickling Five Spice & Onion Tomato Masala to name a few. The night was a huge success, proving that you can have an amazing culinary experience and stick to a vegan lifestyle.

Moe Rahman, Co-Founder and General Manager of Mint Room Bath, said: “A Taste of Vegan Indian was another wonderful dinner event for our restaurant and chef Nath prepared a great menu of modern Indian vegan dishes which people loved.”

Guest chef Saurav Nath started his career with India’s famed Taj Hotel group and has since graced the UK’s Indian restaurant scene as a chef at Masterchef Atul Kochar’s Michelin starred Benares, been the Head Chef at Kocchar’s Colony, as well as worked at the Michelin starred Gymkhana. In addition, Nath has worked on pop-up restaurants with such iconic, culinary giants as Piere Koffman and Eric Chavot. 

Nath works on various supperclubs with former food and hospitality journalist Humayun Hussain, turned Consultant in the same field. The latter has worked for the national media, been an inspector for the AA Restaurant Guide, judged various food competitions and amongst his TV appearances, appeared with super-chef Gordon Ramsay on more than one occasion. Humayun is a member of the UK’s prestigious Guild of Food Writers.

The Mint Room is a fine dining Indian experience that provides traditional to modern Indian cooking with restaurants located in Bath and Bristol. The group has built a reputation of providing dishes which are daringly different with first-rate British ingredients brought to an enticing level of Indian flair.
