108 Marylebone Lane appoints Emre Gunes as General Manager

108 Marylebone Lane is delighted to announce the appointment of Emre Gunes as General Manger at 108 Brasserie and 108 Bar. Bringing with him over 15 years’ experience in the hospitality industry, Emre has a wealth of experience across a range of high-end restaurants in the capital. 

Emre will be joining 108 Marylebone Lane from Richard Caring’s Sexy Fish on Berkeley Square, where he held the positon of Restaurant Manager since 2016. During this time, he has been responsible for operational restructuring and the implementation of various improvements within the business, resulting in significant revenue growth and demonstrating his impact on driving and enhancing business success. 


But it was almost two decades ago that Emre began his career at the award-winning Hakkasan in Mayfair; where his dedication to the Food & Beverage sector was born and his passion for providing excellent customer service cultivated.

His enthusiasm and commitment were clear from the start, enabling him to swiftly progress through a range of positions. Commencing as a runner, Emre was promoted through the ranks to the position of Restaurant Supervisor and ultimately offered the opportunity to assist owner Alan Yau in the opening of Sake no Hana in 2007. 

Emre then took up the role of Restaurant Manager at Roka Charlotte Street in 2010, before joining the team at Busaba Eathai as General Manager in 2011. During this time, Emre honed his management skills and procured his Personal Liquor License.


In 2013 he joined critically-acclaimed Aqua Kyoto as Restaurant Manager where he was instrumental in ensuring the smooth operation of service and events. Here he was able to manage teams effectively and provide impeccable customer service, whilst also guaranteeing that all events ran faultlessly.

Speaking of his new role at 108 Marylebone Lane, Emre says:

“I’m so pleased to be joining the teams at 108 Brasserie and 108 Bar. Both are already such successful and well-loved venues and I can’t wait to embark on the challenge of taking them to the next level.”

108 Marylebone Lane offers a truly local all-day dining experience, with an emphasis on fresh, light, and above all delicious, seasonal dishes. Set in the heart of Marylebone, 108 offers brasserie-style dining and is open all day, seven days a week, serving breakfast, lunch, cream tea, and dinner; while its idyllic terrace – lavishly adorned with green foliage – provides a tranquil spot to sit back and enjoy the British summertime.

Just off Marylebone High Street, 108 houses two distinctive areas; the bar, a chic and sophisticated drinking and dining area, and the brasserie’s dining space, where the vibrant, modern menu takes centre stage.
