Now available in a chocolate sponge featuring almond, coconut and pistachio inclusions, the ‘Jaconde with Cocoa and Nuts’ sponge sheets are suitable for a range of sweet applications, from elegant layered cakes and decorative strips, through to individual desserts or even yule log.

The sponge has been made from a traditional French recipe of eggs and almond powder which brings a rich taste and dense texture. The sponge is not only soft and airy but also flexible enough for chefs and caterers to use as a quality base product that can be transformed into their very own pièce de résistance.
A versatile addition to any kitchen, the sponge sheets can be utilised in different ways, whether delicately stacked to form wonderful layered cakes, sandwiched with indulgent buttercream or rolled into festive roulades for a show-stopping end to a meal. The sheets are stored frozen, therefore maintaining a shelf life of 12 months while being ready to defrost in a matter of minutes. Once thawed, the quality of the sheets is guaranteed for 48hours. The sheets, which measure 580mm long x 380mm wide x 05mm thick, come in cases of 10 and can be cut to any size or shape required.
