Chelsea flower show hotel and restaurant menu round-up

To celebrate RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2018, the newly refurbished Tom’s Kitchen Chelsea will be transformed with floral decorations by FloJo Flowers this May, as well as offering guests beautiful floral set menus. From 21-27 May, the restaurant will be adorned with an abundance of fresh floral blooms, and the FloJo team will also be creating a stunning archway of peonies across the main entrance. From the two and five-course floral set menus, dishes will include Cured and confit salmon, rose petals and grapefruit; Homemade ricotta, gremolata, radish, baby cucumbers and viola; and Roast cod, cous cous, chorizo, squid, clams, mussels, saffron sauce, nasturtium flowers and leaves. To drink, the bar team have also created a refreshing lemon and elderflower cocktail, the perfect summer aperitif!

As London prepares for the return of the RHS Chelsea Flower Show, Chef Patron Martha Ortiz is offering diners a taste of Mexico in bloom. The limited-edition Las Flores de México tasting menu delivers six courses of the modern Mexican cooking for which Ortiz is known, interlaced with floral flourishes. At the bar, flower-starring serves have been created for a new cocktail list and both menus are available from 18 May to 28 July. Floral-inspired dishes include Red snapper aguachile with cucumber sorbet, crispy maize pancake and edible flowers; Turbot with stuffed zucchini flower and Pink mole with stuffed chicken and a crown of flowers. From the drinks list Flor de Jamaica is a tart, refreshing option that that sees mezcal mixed with Suze, hibiscus cordial and a pineapple and sage soda and Xóchitl, named after the Aztec word for ‘flowers’, is a bubbly blend of Perrier-Jouët Champagne, mezcal, rhubarb and pink peppercorn syrup, Peychaud’s bitters and lemon.

Fiume

Just a hop across the river from the Chelsea Flower Show itself, Fiume is getting into the summer spirit with its very own floral display and a special Jasmine-infused gelato from Francesco Mazzei topped with edible flowers and puffed Jasmine rice. Situated on the edge of the river, the beautiful plaza-style terrace will be decked out with foliage and blooms in collaboration with Peroni and in line with the D&D Blossom City campaign. Furthermore, inspired by the Chelsea celebrations a special floral cocktail has been created; the Fiore Royale is a botanical blend of Gin, St Germain, Crème de Violettes, Lavender Syrup, Citrus and Rose Syrup.

Jude’s Limited-Edition Rose Flavoured Ice Cream

In celebration of the 106th annual RHS Chelsea Flower Show, and in honour of the UK’s most popular flower, the English rose, Jude’s ice cream has created a perfectly balanced, limited edition English Rose flavoured ice cream. This sweet-scented scoop of indulgence is delicately perfumed with light rosy notes which complement the milky, creamy texture of Jude’s iconic vanilla ice cream perfectly.  

Jude’s English Rose ice cream will be available to purchase from the scooping parlour at The Pear Tree Café from 14th May until 26th May. Priced at £4, the limited edition English Rose cone will include two scoops of Jude’s English Rose ice cream, adorned with a cascade of edible flowers.

Floral cocktails at GNH Bar for the RHS Chelsea Flower Show

To celebrate the RHS Chelsea Flower Show, the GNH Bar at the Great Northern Hotel has partnered with Jo Malone London to create a bespoke cocktail menu. The cocktails are inspired by Jo Malone London’s limited edition Spring fragrance launch, Blossom Girls and Hot Blossoms. Guests can enjoy a serve of Bergamot Cordial, Campari infused with roses, Cardamom Gin, orange bitters inspired by the new Sakura Cherry Blossom Cologne, whilst a cocktail of Jasmine tea infused with mint, white rum, lime, sparkling wine is inspired by the Cattleya Flower Body Mist – a spritz of pure sunshine.

Conrad London St James

Things have gone all ‘flower power’ at Conrad London St James as Blue Boar Bar pays tribute to the RHS Chelsea Flower Show with three floral cocktails designed by their in-house mixologist. Guests to the Westminster hot-spot can choose from Flower Fair, a vibrant blend of Vodka, Disaronno, Chambord, Strawberry puree and Rose syrup; Violet Bliss, a unique mix of Violet liqueur, lime juice, and egg white or London Blossom, a zesty combination of Gin, St Germain, lime juice, strawberry purée and elderflower syrup. The cocktails will also be available alongside the afternoon tea in Emmeline’s and in the Blue Boar restaurant.

Tokimeitē

To celebrate the RHS Chelsea Flower Show this May, Executive Chef Daisuke Hayashi of Japanese restaurant Tokimeitē in Mayfair has created a specially curated sashimi platter. D&D London celebrate Chelsea Flower Show with #BlossomCity18 and the all-new Bloom Rooms

D&D London are once again celebrating spring with their blooming beautiful #BlossomCity18 campaign. Now in its third year, the initiative sees D&D restaurants launch a range of flower-inspired menus, cocktails and floral installations including the stunning Bloom Rooms – a new addition for 2018. The Bloom Rooms will be popping up across London on the terraces of Coq d’Argent, South Place Hotel Secret Garden and Plateau, as well as further afield at 20 Stories in Manchester and Crafthouse in Leeds. The curved wooden domes will be decorated with fresh flowers and winding ivy to resemble an English garden in full bloom. In partnership with Moët & Chandon, #BlossomCity18 will showcase the vibrant colours and flavours of the new season from 14 May until the end of June. For the third year running, D&D’s spring initiative will support The Gynaecological Cancer Fund, The Lady Garden Campaign. With the help of British fashion model Amber Le Bon fronting the collaboration, and a discretionary £1 from every bill donated to the charity, they are hoping to exceed the incredible £61,510 raised for The Lady Garden in 2017.

Caramel London

Head on down to the newly launched Caramel London and soak up the sun on their stylish new terrace, complete with their newly installed flower display, specially for Chelsea Flower Show, while enjoying one of the delightful signature cocktails. Cocktail of the week will be the lovely Brompton Garden made with orange-infused Bombay Sapphire, Kamm & Sons, lime, London Essence Co bitter orange & elderflower tonic. Guests can also experience the delightful afternoon tea from the Tuesday to Saturday between 2 and 5, with a complimentary glass of champagne. It’s the perfect spot to relax and unwind after a busy day at the show!
