The Langham, London Reveals ‘The Winter Garden’ for the Festive Season
This Christmas, The Langham, London will transform into ‘The Winter Garden’, an elegant festive experience inspired by the beauty of a winter garden. For 2026, London’s original grand hotel will be brought to life with frosted botanicals, sculptural branches, crystal and glass details, and starry lighting. Designed to evolve from day into evening, the design combines luminous winter whites with deeper, warming tones, to create a sense of discovery throughout the property.
At the heart of the experience, the Lobby will bloom into a grand Winter Garden, guiding guests to Palm Court for the hotel’s celebrated afternoon tea. In Palm Court, guests can take in ‘The Blooming Winter Garden’, inspired by the Victorian glasshouses that allowed exotic plants and fruits to flourish throughout winter. The Winter Garden Festive Afternoon Tea (available 9 November 2026 to 3 January 2027) will feature seasonal flavours, with finger sandwiches such as Roast Bronze Turkey, stu1ing, pickled cranberries and chestnut with a delicate savoury of Potato farl, crème fraiche and oscietra caviar. Snowy white throughout, with bright pops of colour, the cakes and pastries will showcase the likes of Plum and Ginger and Chestnut and Blackcurrant, all in which will be served alongside scones with clotted cream, preserves, a showstopping sharing cake, alongside The Langham’s Glasshouse; an Earl Grey infused layered sponge with bergamot jelly.
As day turns to night, ‘Midnight in the Winter Garden’ will see Artesian cocktail bar transformed into a shimmering evening setting inspired by the season. Head Bartender Giulia Cuccurullo and the talented team at Artesian have created two exclusive festive cocktails for the occasion, the Pineapple & Brioche, a decadent take on the Ramos Gin Fizz, combining caramelised rum with bright pineapple and citrus, balanced by rich brioche notes and finished with a velvety foam and the Fig & Port, a luxurious cocktail inspired by the Manhattan, pairing crisp vodka with rich fig and warming aged port, lifted by the dry, saline character of fino sherry. Guests can also choose to explore the festive cocktails alongside Artesian’s elevated bar snacks menu; perfect for predinner bites or a light supper.
For those looking to settle into a cosy space, The Wigmore, The Langham’s modern British pub, will grow into ‘The Evergreen Garden’, o^ering a warm and welcoming embrace for the winter season. Guests can choose from the extensive a la carte menu featuring the likes of Roast Turkey Pie, or opt for festive sharing platters such as The Wigmore Favourites Platter, consisting of XXL stovetop 3 cheese and mustard toastie, fat chips and Bloody Mary salt, buttered crumpets, citrus cured salmon and crème fraiche. Hearty dishes made with seasonal ingredients will be served alongside the festive drinks we all crave as the temperature drops.
The celebrations continue across The Langham, London on New Year’s Eve, with a choice of
three ways to see out 2026 in style. In Palm Court, guests can enjoy an elegant five-course dinner, beginning with Champagne and canapés and accompanied by live music throughout the evening. At Artesian, celebrations step up from 8pm to enjoy an evening of exceptional cocktails, festive atmosphere and late-night glamour accompanied by the delicious bar snack menu and a live DJ taking guests through to midnight. For something more relaxed, The Wigmore is hosting two sittings to choose from, enjoy an early three-course dinner with English sparkling wine, or settle in for a later dinner and celebration with festive punch, live music and a glass of Champagne to see in the countdown.
