HAMPDEN ESTATE CELEBRATES ITS HERITAGE WITH NEW 1753 RUM

Hampden Estate has released a new, permanent expression named in honour of the Jamaican distillery’s founding year: Hampden Estate 1753. Joining Hampden’s core range, the new Jamaican single rum is available in the UK via distributor Specialty Brands.
Hampden Estate 1753 is an authentic expression of the distillery’s signature style. Its lower ABV make it is an ideal starting point for rum enthusiasts wanting to explore the distillery’s unique aromatic universe.
The new expression is naturally produced using the methods that have made the distillery legendary: the use of pure spring water drawn from a nearby spring, a long fermentation triggered by natural indigenous yeasts, distillation in double-retort copper pot stills, tropical ageing in the distillery’s own warehouse, and no added sugar or colouring.
This new release is aged for three years in ex-bourbon barrels and bottled at 46%. The palate bursts with ripe fruit notes, including pineapple and banana, with hints of spices and nuts and a fresh vegetal touch. There is also a zesty freshness from lemon and grapefruit with sweet spices and light stone fruits which provide a long and harmonious finish. This approachable and versatile rum is ideal for sipping and mixing.
Hampden Estate 1753 (59% ABV, RRP: £65) will be available across all channels.
