Goods Way reveals final line-up of independent food operators for new multi-platform King’s Cross site launching from March

Goods Way is very excited to reveal the final independent food businesses joining The Courtyard when it swings open its doors from March.

Located in London’s King’s Cross, Goods Way will house Lafayette, a new live music venue, a vibrant New Orleans inspired bar, Sweetwater, and The Courtyard which plays host to five eclectic food outlets, of which the remaining three operators are shared today.

Joining the previously announced Breddos Tacos and Duck Truck will be New York’s hugely respected Sushi On Jones, making their first foray out of the United States to launch with us at Goods Way. Having caused much fuss in NY’s NoHo district with their clean dishes and quality of fish, Sushi On Jones are proud to provide an affordable omakase that demystifies the experience of eating and enjoying sushi. Highly skilled chefs are on hand to guide all visitors, from novices to aficionados, through the selection. The traditional omakase experience puts the trust into the hands of your hosts, and Sushi On Jones can be trusted. It’s with great honour to welcome them to London and into Goods Way.

Joining them will be pioneering vegan fast-food favourites, Temple of Seitan. Founded by Australian natives Rebecca McGuinness and Patrick O’Shea back in 2015, Temple of Seitan is the original and very best plant-based ‘fried chicken’ outlet in London. From its initial introduction as a stall on Brick Lane to its now world-renowned Hackney based outlet, Temple of Seitan takes the convenience of the quintessential quality fast-food joint and makes it far kinder to our animal friends.

It’s an ethos built on cruelty-free cuisine with zero let up on taste or instant satisfaction. Temple of Seitan has since become the primary catalyst for London’s now thriving vegan fast-food boom, and we are excited to bring them to our new space.

Finally, we are very proud to reveal that Pomelo will complete the Goods Way food line-up in The Courtyard.

Pomelo will serve unique British tapas, and is the brainchild of top chefs Natasha Cooke and Lucy Pedder, owners of the critically acclaimed London restaurant Lupins.

As mainstays of Borough’s Flat Iron Square, Lupins is a modern British restaurant which focuses on fresh, flavoursome and seasonal ingredients and delivers some of the finest small sharing plates anywhere in the capital.

Pomelo promises to serve more of that same fine food, including crab thermidor croquettes (a take on Lupins’ signature dish Cornish crab thermidor) and their classic cornmeal spring onions with chipotle mayonnaise.

We’re incredibly pleased to have Pomelo conclude our Goods Way line-up.

Goods Way won’t make its name solely on the food it offers. At its very heart will be a new 600 capacity live music venue called Lafayette. Lafayette will take the blueprint of what has made Omeara such a success in Borough, with an emphasis on providing the best possible experience and memories for both music lover and artist. Conceived by musicians and run by musicians, Lafayette is already very excited to welcome the likes of Blossoms and a three-night residency by Robert Glasper to its stage in the coming months.

Also joining Lafayette will be Sweetwater; a well-stocked American-style bar celebrating the round-the-clock energy and vibrancy of New Orleans and the Mississippi Delta. It should become the first and last stop for both your pre and post show drinks, and a much-welcomed new meeting spot for Kings’ Cross’ myriad of creative minds, the locale as a whole, and all those just needing a welcoming, comfortable new spot to unwind. Sweetwater will also be open in the mornings to serve coffee and tea, and with its free Wi-Fi, should soon become a freelancers’ secret new home from home.

Where Are We? Goods Way is a short two-minute stroll from King’s Cross St. Pancras Train Station, and located at 11 Goods Way, King’s Cross London, N1C. It is nestled behind Pancras Square, and over the adjoining bridge from Granary Square.
