Experimental drinks consultancy, Rebel Distillers, has created a bespoke house gin for London Marriott Hotel County Hall called Gillray’s, namesake of the hotel’s steakhouse restaurant.
Distilled in central London and initially available at Westminster’s London Marriott Hotel County Hall, Gillray’s is a classic London Dry Gin in style, which will be available on the Gillray’s Restaurant and Bar menus as well as in the hotel room minibars.
Pairing especially well with steak due to its warming liquorice root top note, Gillray’s is a versatile, well-balanced juniper-led gin with hints of citrus.
Matt McGivern, founder, Rebel Distillers says:
“We’re delighted to have created such a fitting house gin for London Marriott Hotel County Hall and being in the heart of Westminster, the hotel is the ideal venue for our London-distilled Gillray’s gin to be launched.”
Pedro Branco, Director of Food & Beverage at London Marriott Hotel County Hall, says:
“We’re pleased to have found such innovative distillers capable of producing such a high-quality house gin, which is not only versatile for a range of drinks, but also fits seamlessly with our food offer. We expect the gin to be popular in G&Ts, as well as a Gillray’s Martini alongside a one of our delicious steaks.”
